- 1 bowl
- 1-2 cups cool water
- 4 drops Lavender essential oil
- 2 drops Tea Tree essential oil
- 1 drop Chamomile essential oil
- 1 drop Lemon essential oil
- 1 wash clothor piece of flannel cloth
Directions
Pour cool water into bowl. Make sure the temperature is correct (cool, not cold to the touch). Add essential oils to bowl of water and stir to disperse as much as possible. Soak flannel in water. Remove cloth and squeeze out most of the moisture. Apply to the neck region directly under the lower jaw. The best position for this is horizontal, lying position, with the head tilted back. Do not use a pillow. Keep the compress on for 15 to 20 minutes. Re-moisten and apply again within a few miutes or when it becomes body temperature (warm).
