Scientific name: Dicentra cucullaria
Possible uses: athletes' legs more limber, sin ailments, iuretic, CNS depressant activity, paralysis, tremors
Part of plant used: roots, leaves
Possible side effects: poisonous, skin rash
Description: perennial; 5-9 in. leaves much dissected. Flowers white, yellow-tipped; appearing upside-down on an arching stalk. Each flower has 2 inflated, "pantlike" spur.
