Scientific name: ascorbic acid
Possible uses: allergies, arthritis, immune system builder, emmenagogue
Possible side effects: diarrhea and uterine contractions (in larger amounts- 1.2 g or more)
If you are pregnant, do not take vitamin c in large amounts to avoid possible miscarriage. If you want to take vitamin c while you're pregnant, take the vitamin c supplements that include rosehips and/or bioflavanoids.
