Milk Thistle

Name: Milk Thistle
Scientific name: Silybum marianum

Possible uses: protects the liver, cirrhosis, jaundice, , hepatitis, liver poisoning, mushroom (especially Amanita) poisoning
Active constituents: silymarin

Part of plant used: whole plant

It's pretty hard to handle this plant because of how thorny it is.  People do eat the young leaves as vegetables
