Lily of the valley

Name: Lily of the valley
Scientific name: Convallaria majalis
Possible uses: valvular heart disease, fever, diuretic, heart tonic, sedative, emetic, burns, prevent scar tissue, epilepsy, mild cardiac insufficiency
Part of plant used: flowers, root
Possible side effects: toxic, mild skin irritant
Description: Perennial, spreading by root runners; 4-8 in. leaves 2-3; basal, oblong-ovate, entire (not toothed); veins parallel; connecting veins obvious when held to light.  Flowers bell-shaped, white

Used in Germany, but not so much in US due to drug-drug interactions
