Introduction post

Hey everyone!
     My name is Susan Egbert and currently I'm a third year pharmacy student at University of Louisiana at Monroe.  I'm starting this as a way to show how I've been learning my herbs and using credible resources. 

     The reason why I go by Lichenlady sometimes is that I've been studying lichens for about 4 years now and have a scholarly article published on them.  I really hope that in the future that I can create some literature review and this blog can be a source for the general public to use.  I do not discredit the use of herbals throughout the lifetime, but I do believe that we can't use herbals to fix the most serious problems.
